This album largely covers our adventures cycling the M41, more affectionately known as the Pamir Highway, through Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. This road through the Pamir Mountains formed one of the ancient Silk Road trade routes. It was a very challenging few weeks living above 4,000m and cycling in all types of weather. This brief album covers our journey from the port in Baku, Azerbaijan across the Caspian Sea on Professor Gul to Aktau, Kazakstan. The journey included cycling through the desert, seeing camels and catching a train to Uzbekistan.
Part II of Turkey covers our bike tour through Middle-East Turkey, through the Ihlara Valley to the Cappadocia. From here we hopped on a coach to Erzurum and continued our tour along the Artvin-Yusufeli road to Georgia. To read about our experience, check out our blog here.

Postcards from our summer holiday in Greece. We really enjoyed cycling through Drama, Kavala and a four-day cycle tour around the perimeter of Thassos island. A collection of photos taken as we briefly crossed over the Rhine river into France, which included a much-needed rest day on a lake. We had dinner at a local French restaurant, which was exquisite with perfect local white wine!
